Amret is proud to be a part in the National Bookfair to celebrate the 9th National Reading Day under the theme “Reading is the foundation for all in life”, organized by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport, the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts and Ministry of Information. 

The Bookfair is organized for 3 days from 09-11 March 2024 and to be held at the Institute of Technology of Cambodia in Phnom Penh. The purpose of the book fair is to promote reading, writing and enhance reading ability and recite poetry significantly to contribute to the achievement of sustainable development goals that ensure the quality of education and to promote lifelong learning for all. 

The official opening ceremony was presided over by His excellency Dr. Hang Chuon Naron, Minister of Education, Youth and Sport, participated by representatives from the Ministry of Fine Art, Ministry of Information and relevant partners including Amret representatives. 

Reading is the foundation for all in life. Through reading, people can think critically, understand broader knowledge and to be more creative. Education is one of the most powerful weapons to change the world. This is not only for just individual but also for society as a whole. For Amret, we believe promoting reading is a true aspiration for learning. 

Amret is excited to be able to work with relevant partners and be one of the sponsor to the event to contribute to the promotion of reading, building reading habits, and encouraging loves of reading and learning to general public especially among children and young people.

Amret is truly committed to contributing to work with all our partners, especially the Ministry of Education in promoting reading and engage in building awareness on the importance of reading.  This is just a small contribution, but very meaningful journeys and engagement, Amret has always been keen on contributing to the society. 

According to the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport, this year event is bigger than previous years. There are more than 100 bookstores and booths displayed to welcome the public to enjoy the fair, read and buy the books, build network and get to know the various publishers.
