Amret proudly supports and promotes Khmer literature through the “Samne Angkor” reading contest in the Angkor area.

Jan 19, 2025

On January 19, 2025, Amret is honored to participate in the second “Samne Angkor” reading contest, which will take place at the west bridge in front of Angkor Wat in Siem Reap. The inaugural “Samne Angkor” reading contest was held on January 21, 2024.

Amret emphasizes that the “Samne Angkor” or public reading contest is an initiative aimed at inspiring the public, particularly the youth, to appreciate and preserve Khmer national literature. Launching this event in front of Angkor Wat, which symbolizes the spirit of the Khmer nation, serves as a tribute to the ancestors who created, protected, and preserved our national literature throughout history.

The second edition of the “Samne Angkor” elocution competition is being held under the patronage of His Excellency Hun Many, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Many Foundation, alongside His Excellency Dr. Hang Chuon Naron, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Youth, and Sports.

Amret expresses its sincere gratitude to the founders of the “Samne Angkor” event for allowing us to be part of this important program. We are committed to continuing our efforts to support, promote, protect, and preserve Khmer literature.
