Assist in developing/updating procedures and guidelines for the correct recording and declaration and complete and timely payment of taxes in compliance with Cambodian tax law;
Verify tax computation done by tax officers to ensure accuracy and compliance with Cambodian tax law;
Regularly reconcile and monitor variances of tax payable accounts to ensure the completeness and accuracy of tax computations and application;
Review tax adjustment transactions proposed by tax officers and communicate to head office and branch staff to improve accounting processes and reduce the risk of incorrect tax payments;
Check and reconcile summary tax report and tax returns for payments and declaration to the General Department of Taxation;
Verify and reconcile all tax documentation, both soft and supporting hard copy, to ensure that documents are properly safeguarded and readily retrievable;
Assist manager in dealing with tax authorities for tax audit, resolving all related tax issues and minimizing exposure to risk;
Develop/update tax training materials to ensure their sufficiency and proper tax reporting at branches and head office;
Check invoices/contracts/proposals for head office to ensure compliance with Cambodian tax law and reporting requirements and reduce the risk of incorrect tax payments;
Supervise, support and coach tax officers so that they have enough ability to perform the job;
